Couple: Neo and Trinity
Source: The Matrix
Why: First of all, they are two dedicated warriors, just like Jade and Obi-Wan.
Their love doesn't hinder them, but it builds an even stronger foundation for their
beliefs. Also, it was Mona Leia who pointed out that the minute they are alone, they are
all over each other, making them a great deal like Jade and Obi-Wan. :p
Couple: Christian and Satine
Source: Moulin Rouge
Why: Both Christian and Satine knew full well that their love was impossible and
more likely to fail than succeed, but they loved one another regardless. Just as Jade and Obi
defied the Code and Council, Christian and Satine defied the naysayers and the Duke. And not
even death could kill the strength of the love between them.
Couple: Mulder and Scully
Source: The X-Files
Why: While the two were inseparable partners with immense respect for one another,
they didn't always agree on their cases. Jade and Obi-Wan have had similar problems finding a
common ground on subjects they disagree on, yet it has never hindered their caring for each
other. Mulder and Scully have a strong enough bond that one would risk anything for the other,
and no matter how they tried to remain merely friends, they became too close to deny their
true feelings.
Couple: Beatrix Kiddo and Bill
Source: Kill Bill
Why: While this seems like the most unlikely of all, it really isn't. Both were
seasoned warriors who followed a lonely road yet found themselves together. When something
insurmountable came between them, even through all the backstabbing, they never stopped
loving each other. Their code of honor was all that stood in the way of the two of them
sharing a blissful life together.
Couple: Miroku and Sango
Source: Inuyasha
Why: First off, Sango is the strong, female warrior of the group who is relentless in
everything (battles, friendships, etc) and passionate to no end. Miroku is the powerful and
adorable warrior with a spiritual center. Also, they play hard-to-get, though it’s obvious their
caring for one another goes very deep. And I could see Obi-Wan grabbing Jade’s butt at
inappropriate moments... though it's usually the other way around in that arena. :D
Couple: Broken Sword and Flying Snow
Source: Hero
Why: They were both passionate and stalwart warriors. While Jade is better at compromise
than Snow appeared to be, both women tend to be the more violent, emotional types. Broken Sword
was just as steadfast in his beliefs, but he was more of a scholar who sought truth through wisdom
and study, even though he was quite powerful physically. They also shared a fiery romance despite
their differences, and it is easy for one to imagine that they continued on into the afterlife.
